The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is a baseball tournament held each June in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament consists of eight teams, which are determined by the results of the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The CWS is a single-elimination tournament, with the winner being crowned the national champion of college baseball.
The CWS was first held in 1947, and has been held in Omaha every year since 1950. The tournament is one of the most prestigious events in college sports, and draws large crowds each year.
